Help your Smart Phone be Smart

One of best things in my opinion of the Android Smart Phone is you can make it look however you want it to. That said one the worst things about the Android Smart Phone is you can make it look however you want it to.

Lets be honest here, most of use have no business changing our screens around and adding this and that to our phone. It can be a waste of time while we should spend it doing things that we need to get done. I've have done it with every Android Phone I have owned. Guess what, I really am not that good at it, but I am freely willing to admit it. The main reason..... I came across the Beta of a great Home Screen replacement call Aviate. It has transformed my phone into almost everything I have wanted my phone to be, Clean looking, a uncluttered layout but easy to get to what I need. It changes based on my location, ie Home, work or going somewhere. It has made collections of my apps based on how I use them and also allowed me to add to it if I wanted to. My work apps are all together, as is my Social apps, News, Directions, Music, Home, you get picture. No more looking forever for what I need. The big deal to me, ..... I am actually getting more done in less time. I can not imagine not having it on my phone, that is how great I think it is.

Take a Look at a Home Screen. Notice the down arrow at the upper right hand side below the time.

If you press the arrow the Home "stuff"appears. You can add to it or take apps away if you want, also you can also add Widgets too, such as Weather and Any.do list. Simple and effective.

Aviate is by invite only at this point, but you can find it in the Google Play store and sign up for your invite. Aviate is currently allowing you to send invite to 5 of your friends, co-workers, the Starbucks Bareastia who hooks you up with your caffeine hit each day, you get the picture. It is a great app, even in beta and keeps getting better.

Below are some shots of the rest of the layouts:

1.Your Collections ( notice the gear icon )

2. Select your Collections after pressing the gear icon.

3. All your programs, nicely arranged.

4. Your different screens that change based on your location.
